It's hard to believe that a producer so young, can produce such accomplished music, but that's exactly what 18 year old Brit Jason Nolan has achieved with his EP.
Generally speaking, Nolan's musical style is fairly laid back, producing chilled indie/pop instrumentals, overlaid with filtered vocals and all arranged around meticulous percussion. Comparatively speaking, the EP is reminiscent of material from Hot Chip and even Radiohead to some extent, but with a distinctive lean towards more current chillwave influences as well.
Altogether this is a highly enjoyable EP, with excellent production values and beautiful, if subtly melodic tracks. Surely this EP is a sign of greater things to come in the future from Jason Nolan.....regardless we'll definitely be keeping an eye on this young talent.
