Changing Faces - Reasons To Be Happy EP

The much anticipated 'Reasons To Be Happy' FREE EP from our favourite Slovakian Drum & Bass producer, Changing Faces, was finally released this week. As promised, the 7-track EP delivers a beautiful collection of crisp, high quality Liquid DnB productions with the likes of Sheffield's Roebuck and Synth (winner of the remix competition) also contributing.
Although the standard is high, the end product here is far more evolutionary than revolutionary and those expecting this EP to 'reinvent' the Liquid genre will be sorely disappointed. Instead, each track here provides a perfect example of solid production techniques and by-the-numbers liquid. Naturally this is no bad thing and accordingly the 'Reasons To Be Happy' would be a welcome edition to the library of any Liquid fan or budding DnB DJ. Though it was no easy choice, given the sheer quality on offer here, we've selected 'Without You' feat. Roebuck as our overall stand-out track. Here the smooth rolling bassline and upbeat vibes are sure to put a smile on anyones' face, with the overall production style comparable to that of Netsky or even Danny Byrd.
Altogether then, the quality on offer in this EP absolutely warrants a download, especially given the generous FREE price tag. If this EP is anything to go by, Changing Faces has a really bright future ahead of him and is without a doubt one to keep an eye on....

Coldplay - Paradise (Changing Faces Dubstep Remix)

Changing Faces is an electronic music producer from Slovakia, well known across Soundcloud and the Blogosphere for his frequent high quality and importantly FREE releases.
He's just recently completed a successful campaign to reach 1000 fans on Facebook and to celebrate, has released his remix of Coldplay's 'Paradise', available for FREE download here.
Though this particular release is Dubstep oriented, Changing Faces is perhaps better known for his excellent liquid DnB productions, such as 'The Best Things in Life Are Free', (linked below) and multiple other tracks that will be featuring on his upcoming FREE EP, due this summer.

Good Friday Mix

The decks have come back from the grave...today of all days, so what could be more appropriate than some DnB!

Amptek - The Way I Feel EP

When it comes to DnB releases, you really can't go wrong with Point Audio. These guys know talent and are constantly helping fresh artists get their work out there.
Artists like Amptek, who with his EP 'The Way I Feel' has created something truly epic. While the bpm may well linger around the 170 mark for the most part throughout the EP, Amptek hasn't just created some 'more of the same' Drum & Bass, instead what we get is an extremely emotional ride. His well produced and deeply meaningful tracks are laden with complexity and the kind of care and attention that separates the good from the great. By the time you've reached the rolling piano crescendo of the EP's final track, 'Summer Ending,' you'll be crying out for more.
High quality, yet cut down versions of the tracks are available for FREE via Soundcloud, but why not go ahead and grab the full release over at Bandcamp, it's only $4....a bargain in anyone's book.

The nice folks over at Point Audio have sent us over a little FREE gem, Simage's remix of 'Rephrase & Rewind ' by Keeno.
While the original is undoubtably wonderful, haunted by the powerful vocal talents of Fifi Smart, the remix takes it one step further to create an excellent piece of emotional and immersive Liquid DnB, with just enough jazzy licks in there to keep the toes moving.

Album: Elliot M - Set In Motion EP

I've been posting alot of Drum & Bass lately....and frankly i'm not going to stop any time soon, especially since new and exciting stuff keeps finding it's way to me.

Enter Elliot M.....a 19 year old DnB/Dubstep producer from London but currently studying in Leeds. Despite his lack of years, Elliot M is producing some seriously good music. His debut EP 'Set In Motion' comprises a surprising mix of genres, from the straight liquid vibes of 'Set in Motion' to the dancehall/dubstep wobbles of 'Drifting' and my personal favourite...the UK Old School kickback 'Spring'.

This is pretty impressive stuff for a young producers first effort and Elliot M is without a doubt one to keep and eye on. To top it all off the EP 'Set In Motion' is available for FREE here.
