Apologies for the lack of updates, i've been in production non-stop for the past couple of months but now it's finally time for a chill and with that in mind I bring you the latest production from Synthetic Epiphany.

The track begins with some real smooth acoustic guitar before taking on a more familiar Synthetic Epiphany chilled electric sound, but still stripped back and chilled out enough to stand out...reminds me a little of the kind of tracks you'd find on a Cafe Del Mar mix

The mellow grooves of Luvian have always been a sight for sore eyes (ears?) for us here at The HotBox, with many a hangover or two seemingly drifting away after some time with Luvian's tracks.

Major Lazer - Get Free ft. Amber Coffman

Chances are you've heard about the release of Major Lazer's latest offering 'Get Free', especially since #GETFREE has been all over for Twitter for days. Well i've finally got around to posting about this interesting track that looks to be giving us clues as to the new future direction of Major Lazer.
In 'Get Free', gone are the heavy dancehall vibes and bassy synths in favour of something far more chilled....with the vocal leads of Amber Coffman taking the forefront alongside clear dub/reggae influences likely stemming from the track's Jamaican recording location.
It's an interesting track, especially for Major Lazer fans so cop it + a bonus track for FREE via MadDecent...in the meantime check out the trippy video below, cartooned up in true Lazer style.

Synthetic Epiphany - Reverence

I know some ambient chilled music might not be the ideal post for a Friday, but i just couldn't hold this one back, especially since this track is doing wonders for my hangover.
Nevertheless, with out further ado I present 'Reverence ' by Synthetic Epiphany.
We've posted stuff from Synthetic Epiphany before and once again he doesn't disappoint, 'Reverence' is a truly mind blowing track, enriched with multiple layers of complex percussion, sub bass and wonderful melodies, all wrapped up in a time scheme that's somewhere between garage and dubstep (that wonderful 140bpm mark). As with his other tracks Synthetic Epiphany has decided to give this one out for FREE, an easy decision then...go grab it.

If you're a regular reader at The HotBox you'll know just how fond we are of Synkro.
Almost everything he puts out is pure minimal/2step/chilled/future garage gold and his latest track is no exception. Together with long time collaborator Indigo, he's made beautiful soundscape of sampled vocals, soothing melodies and ever meticulous percussion in 'Guidance'.

It's sunday, and once again we all need a little something to chill-out to, luckily that's where Synthetic Epiphany, an English Dubstep/techno/dnb producer hailing from Hereford, comes in.
Synthetic Epiphany's sounds are truly soothing with multiple deep layers of bass, melody and clever samples to carry your mind away...

Δkkord - Back & Forth

∆kkord is an artist who I honestly can't say alot about. He's fairly new on the minimal/bass/garage scene and has started receiving some exposure, turning up frequently on mixes from the likes of Synkro. 
Despite the lack of details, I can tell you one thing....this guy is making some seriously deep and interesting music. Check the youtube players below and see for yourself. No d/l links yet..but watch this space. The clips are taken from Synkro's mix over at Electronic Beats

Sweetheart of Kairi & CoMa - Last Summer Song

I'm tired, dizzy and there's a bitter taste in my mouth...it must be Sunday. Days like this are tough, with Monday lingering at the back of your mind and all that work you didn't do lingering far more obviously on your desk.
On a day like this, I appreciate good soothing music more than ever, luckily i've got 'Last Summer Song' by the duo Sweetheart of Kairi. Soular Order - Find Your Way

Thank god for Sundays, time to stay in bed, recuperate and try to piece the weekend together. Luckily i've just the thing to help.
Soular Order aka Jon Maynard is a electronic/dubstep/ambient producer from Manchester. His track 'Find Your Way' is an epic glitchy ambient masterpiece that demands your attention. It's probably the best composed and most chilled-out track i've heard for ages. The track is available for FREE but is only the single from his third EP 'A World Apart'. The EP is available here for as little as £1.50.... a bargain for an absolutely stunning album.
The other two EPs 'Ascent' and 'Edge of The Earth' are available for FREE on his bandcamp.... no doubt well worth a look in.

The XX - Night Time (Synkro Remix)

It's always a safe bet to remix anything when Jamie XX is involved, chances are you are already working with a diamond that just needs polishing. It's an even safer bet however when Synkro (aka S.Y.N.K.R.O) is on remix duty. 

Manchester's Synkro is one of the top post-dubstep/future garage/ambient house producers around, he's been making some of the most influential UK underground music since 2009's Everybody Knows. Along with Burial, Synkro is one of the original pioneers of the 'Chillstep' genre...and he continues to innovate track after track.

This remix too is top notch, the production is, as you would expect from Synkro, outstanding. It's the kind of track that gets your feet shuffling and simultaneously sends you into a trance and Synkro is giving it away for FREE. Swing by his sound cloud and show your gratitude.

Bisweed - I Promised

More music here to make you forget all your troubles. This time from Ukrainian producer Bisweed.
This one will really take you to another planet, with it's rolling breaks and piano tones, except this aint quite DnB, it has more of a future garage vibe to it.....a vibe which I'm really digging. Check out the track, which Bisweed is giving away for free here.
