I'd never heard of Masters Of The Radio before they sent us their track 'Powers of Reality' and that's not that surprising, considering their heavy, fist-pumping electro style isn't normally the kind of thing to be posted on the HotBox. Needless to say, I wasn't too fond of the track on first play through, however my bias soon passed after a few more plays...memories and influences of Daft Punk started to flow through and before long it clicked. The track's description says it's 'influenced by big film soundtracks and sounds of futuristic cultures,' and that much is certainly true. This is an electro/techno epic, a cinema style dramatic builder, the kind of thing Daft Punk should have..but didn't manage in that crappy Tron remake.....and for that it has to be respected.
It's not for everyone, but it's not supposed to be, and besides it's FREE here, so those that get it should swing by Soundcloud to show some love.
