Phaeleh & VVV - Reconcile

Future garage, post-dubstep, 2-Step....whatever you want to call it, Garage is back and in a big way (that means UK Garage to all you state-side). As electronic artists begin to turn away from the commercial whipping horse that is now Dubstep, they are starting to look back to their roots. What we are experiencing now is a reemergence of the Garage Sound. The roots of all 2-Step, D&B and Dub are all audible in the tracks being released by artists such as Joy Orbison, XXXY and Pariah...mostly via the L2S and Doldrums record labels.
'Reconcile' by Phaeleh & VVV is a perfect example of the genre, with deep synths, arpeggiated lead chords and, of course, a meticulously constructed 2-step beat that gets your head nodding and feet shuffling. The genre is expanding rapidly and even getting some mainstream attention,  personally i couldn't be happier to here these rhythms back on the airwaves. Garage is dead, long live Garage!
